1966 JAGUAR ‘E’ TYPE SERIES ONE 4,2 OTS
The Jaguar ‘E’ Type needs no introduction, it is probably one off the most famous and attractive cars in the world, commencing in 1961 with the 3,8 the six cylinder version endured until 1971 when it was replaces by the twelve cylinder model. Throughout its production life, it changed both its looks and its performance in some cases. The series one 4,2 model commenced in 1964 and with the benefits of al all synchro gearbox, Lockheed servo and alternator, continued until 1967 when it was replaced by what is colloquially known as the series one and a half which resulted in the first instance to the loss of the glass headlamp covers.
Our car is an 4,2 from the end of 1966, registered initially in the USA in 1967. So still comes with the triple carburettor set up.
